SUMMARY:Waynesville Parks and Rec EV Charger Ribbon Cutting
DESCRIPTION:The Town of Waynesville\, in collaboration with the Waynesville Environmental Sustainability Board\, will be holding a ribbon cutting to celebrate the commissioning of SIX new 9.6kW EV chargers at its recreation facility on W Marshall Street\, near the tennis courts.  This installation is the first of two such installations in Waynesville to be completed\, and only the second public Level 2 charging installation of this size in WNC ever!  This installation will allow folks to charge their EVs while they use the recreation facilities\, improving local air quality and community health by combining exercise with zero tailpipe emission vehicles.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Hendo Earth Fest\, a family-oriented celebration of our environment and the groups that work to protect adn enhance it.  LOSCVC will be partnering with Blue Ridge EV Club to host an EV demonstration\, with over 25 vehicles on display from multiple manufacturers.  We will also be demonstrating one of our Mobile Microgrids that helped to provide energy after Helene to areas that had grid outages.  This trailer is just one example of the technology that we are permanently deploying across WNC with our partners Footprint Project and NCSEA.  Come learn more about how microgrid technology will help WNC be more prepared for future grid disruptions\, and how you can be involved!
