Progress Energy Carolinas has reopened the Plugged In residential charging station program for a limited time

The program is designed to help our area move forward with tomorrow’s plug-in vehicles today. Plugged In is open to Progress Energy Carolinas customers.

If you qualify, Progress Energy will install a 240-volt, Level 2 charging station at your home. The program will cover the cost of the charging station and installation costs up to $1,500.

Progress Energy will own, service and maintain the charging station for the duration of the program – until April 2013.

During the program, Progress Energy will remotely access data from your charging station to better understand collective charging habits and the impact on the power grid.

When the program ends, the charging station is yours to keep!

For more information, see Progress Energy's Plugged In Program for Carolinas Customers.
